Treurer Triumphant: 2023 Harvest Wins Global Awards

Treurer repeats awards with its 2023 harvest at the Iber Oleum Guide, at the Olive Japan International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition and at the New York competition, and wins for the first time in Los Angeles and at EVOOLEUM.

 

Treurer obtains the first place in the medium fruity category in the Iber Oleum Guide, two gold medals in New York, in Japan and Los Angeles respectively and is placed in the TOP 100 of EVOOLEUM.

For the second consecutive year, Treurer wins the first place in the Iberoleum Guide in the Medium Fruity category with 96.2 points.

 

The Iber Oleum Guide is characterised by the high level of professionalism of its tasting panel, made up of Spain’s most prestigious experts in the world of EVOO, which includes researchers, heads of different official tasting panels, representatives of different PDOs and expert Italian tasters.

 

In addition, the Iberoleum Guide is a national and international benchmark when it comes to assessing the great effort made by some olive oil mills that work with high standards in the search for quality, disseminating the results of this work.

 

Also for the second consecutive year, Treurer has won a gold medal at the Olive Japan International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition.

 

This prestigious competition organised by The Olive Oil Sommelier Association of Japan (OOSAJ) is recognised worldwide for its high standards of integrity and professionalism in awarding medals to the best oils from around the world.

 

Treurer has been present in Japan, through its distributor, for several years, and this medal is a commercial support for Treurer’s expansion plan in Japan, a country where Treurer’s oil has been so well received since its entry.

 

And also, for the second consecutive year, Treurer has obtained a gold medal in the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition.

 

The NYIOOC is a competition of great international prestige, made up of a jury from different countries and characterised by its neutrality in relation to the origin of the oils presented.

 

Obtaining recognition in this competition is one of the essential ways of making oneself known both on the American continent and in other markets that take what happens there as a model.

 

At the same time and for the first year, Treurer obtains a gold medal in the Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition. This competition is of great importance in the United States and is one of the most prestigious international competitions.

 

This competition is one of the oldest, and is characterised by its seriousness and its firm commitment to spreading the culture of extra virgin olive oil among the general public, which has led it over the years to obtain the prestige that defines it.

 

Finally, and also for the first time, the EVOOLEUM Guide places Treurer in the TOP100 of the world’s EVOOs with 91 points, obtaining the second place in the Arbequina variety.

 

Since its creation in 1994, the EVOOLEUM Guide has become an important agent in the dissemination and promotion of EVOO and all that surrounds it, with more than a thousand oils from 12 different countries being presented with the aim of being recognised by this prestigious guide.

 

Miguel Miralles, owner and current manager of Treuer, has been committed from the beginning of his full incorporation to the project three years ago, to culminate the work started by his father to produce a premium extra virgin olive oil, investing in a high-tech oil mill, continuous training and the development and special care of the trees to obtain a top quality fruit. It is also committed to sustainability and the circular economy, which has led Treurer to obtain the Integrated Production certificate.
