PANELS

Powering the digital age:Ā AI, Data Centers exponential demand or a bubble?

Examines exponential demand growth, comparing utility-led and corporate procurement models and their impact on affordability and long-term system planning. It also highlights the critical importance of ā€œtime to powerā€ as a key factor in meeting rising energy needs efficiently.

Unlocking growth: The grid as the critical enabler of the energy transition

The discussion will address interconnection queues and project delays, comparing large-scale transmission expansion with distributed energy solutions. It will also explore the need for regulatory reform and faster permitting processes, while tackling the challenges of aging grid infrastructure and the large-scale investments required for its renewal.

Energy in an uncertain world: Security, Resilience and Strategic diversification

This panel will explore energy security in a high-growth demand environment, focusing on regulatory uncertainty, policy, and capital market dynamics. It will also address supply chain risks, global dependencies, strategies for diversification and risk management, and the importance of public-private coordination in strengthening resilience and supporting long-term investment.

Beyond intermittency: Delivering reliable energy at scale

Focuses on the new energy stack, including renewables, storage, and the evolving energy mix. It explores the role of battery storage and hybrid projects, the economics of 24/7 carbon-free energy, the balance between grid reliability and decarbonization, and the importance of storage flexibility in providing firming power.
