Uriel A. Mendieta is a partner at Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, where he brings extensive experience in both domestic and international financial and corporate transactions. Uriel regularly advises financial institutions and borrowers on a wide range of financing operations, including syndicated credit facilities, receivables financing, and project finance, as well as on complex mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and minority investments. His experience spans the telecommunications, transportation, financial services, and consumer and retail goods sectors.
In recent years, Uriel has specialized in the technology, media, and telecommunications sectors, representing clients in the construction, development, and operation of submarine and terrestrial fiber-optic networks across Western Europe, South America, and the Atlantic Ocean.
Uriel is fluent in Spanish and has extensive experience in cross-border transactions, serving clients throughout Latin America and other regions. He holds both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from the University of Florida (including a semester at ESADE in Barcelona) and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.
