JAVIER YRAOLA, trade Commissioner of Spain in Miami, with jurisdiction over the southeastern United States. He has held various positions of responsibility in the Spanish civil service in different ministries: Economy, Industry, Foreign Affairs, and Finance, although most of his professional career has been linked to the Secretary of State for Trade and supporting the internationalization of Spanish companies. In addition to having been director at ICEX on two occasions, he has been Commercial Counselor for ten years in Central America and Colombia, and more recently for five years in Chicago, with responsibility for the Midwest states. He received his degree in Economics and Business from the Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain.
